Miniature Orchids
Ed Cott can’t see the beauty of his 30 or so miniature orchids without a magnifying glass.
“I find them intriguing because many of those, the flower is the size of the head of a pin,” says Cott, the president of the Windsor Orchid Society.
He chuckles as he tries to explain his interest and meticulous care for the admittedly-finicky flowers, so tiny their beauty isn’t immediately apparent.
“I have a lot of people ask that question. Why do you grow these? You can’t see them.”
