The Nathaniel Veltman murder trial gets underway in Windsor, Ontario. Veltman has pleaded not guilty to four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder, as well as terrorism charges, in the June 6, 2021 attack on the Afzaal family.

Tensions between protesters and counter-protesters led to small skirmishes at the end of the 1 Million March 4 Children in Windsor. Those participating in the march are opposed to the sex education curriculum in Ontario.

A flag was raised at City Hall in honour of Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
